A Wasteful Summer?

It’s been a Summer full of waste transactions, with some value themes continuing to gain reinforcement alongside the larger mega deals.  

With the CMA focusing on finalising its report into Veolia’s acquisition of Suez, we just managed to squeeze the successful sale of Hughes & Salvidge Waste to McCarthy Marland under the radar!!

For those not seeking to remain on the cutting edge,
planning constraints will continue to provide some degree of
protection within their geographic areas, even more so with
recent rises in logistics costs. Longer term competitiveness
will be dependant on waste companies offering increasingly
sustainable and, linked to this, lower priced solutions.
